Nintendo Switches On!

According to Nintendo, the Nintendo Switch 2 has received a phenomenal response since its release and is rapidly becoming the fastest-selling Nintendo console ever, with over 3.5 million units already sold worldwide in its first few days on the market.

With the first wave of pre-orders sold out in record time, gaming stores had queues of people lining up the night before the latest Nintendo Switch 2 was released in stores. This edition features a much-loved, yet brand-new version of Mario Kart, the last version of which was released 11 years ago.

With flexible console use, it can be docked at home or used via a TV or portable device, creating versatility that blends the best of both the Nintendo 64 and the Game Boy experiences.

Upgraded features include a larger 7.9” LCD screen with more colour vibrant FHD resolution, longer battery life, 3D audio and GameChat feature allowing users to play with up to 12 people in different locations. Yet, despite its high price tag, users are already rating it as a positive and well-worth-it purchase.

The Joy-Con 2 controller allows for a quick conversion to a mouse, adding another level of game-playing control if desired. However, kids around the world may not be as enthusiastic about the updated Nintendo Switch Parental Control app, which enables caregivers to set specific playtime limits.
