Horrible business practices and extremely disappointing in terms of quality care for the guest.

You have been warned and suggest to use a different program. I proceeded to file taxes. They will charge you even when the customer decides to opt out of the option.They also dont bring it to your attention until after the charges have been processed. They can improve by offering better customer care and support for the guest and not themselves. When you ask for a refund they put the blame on the customer. Use another program. Even the upgrades are a sham and thievery.

A necessary evil, and not bad.

A necessary evil, but could be worse. I think this software and its programmers are doing their best with a very uninspiring technology market: bookkeeping. I can think of 20 ways it could be better but I myself prob wouldn’t ever want to program those features so don’t blame intuit for reducing complexity. Support isn’t terrible so long as your questions are simple.

QuickBooks Online is almost unusable…

QuickBooks Online is almost unusable and very expensive. They offer a sweet deal the first year and then double the price in year two. Most of the important features in QB Desktop are missing from the Online version and the support line is unknowledgeable and unhelpful. The best example is merchant fees which were handled well in QB Desktop, but totally ignored in QB Online. This results in much extra work and they are unresponsive to suggestions for fixing it. Software is also unstable. I recommend you stay away from this product.

Poor PayPal integration and bug reporting

We have been using Quickbooks for several years and have found instances where it does not add up correctly. There is a problem with how it integrates with PayPal causing lots of problems.
What infuriates us is that their support team continually skirt around the issue and fails to address the PayPal issue.
Also, looking at other QB reviews this evening, it is clear this company is in the business of writing its own reviews.

Great Support!

I just worked with Asheley K. and she is amazing! She helped clarify a few things with the 1-hour Live Bookkeeping Setup vs Live Full-Service Bookkeeping service and also helped fix a billing issue I had. She also helped consult on what other 3rd party integration tools work with QBO. Finally, I was working with a few QB agents, but the secret is to make sure to go to the help button and put in the right keywords of what you need help with and it will route to the correct agent.

terrible service

terrible program, full of errors. wont let you edit errors if they are found and even charges you for services they cannot provide. they knew I could not e file and yet they charge me for e file anyway.... dont even try to ask for or look for help either, it does not exist. the program is a total scam set up.

Used QuickBooks for a while, when switching to the online version it is subscription-based so it becomes a bit of a recurring cost, but overall satisfied with how straight-forward it is for tax season.
