The store in Issaquah WA agreed to let us select a different chair and return the broken one. Great! Until the second chair broke in three weeks with the same issue! This time, the manager refused to take it back, as we wanted a full refund. She said they had to have their service company come out and check it. She also claimed she had never had this issue on any chair, ha, what a lie! Service guy comes out, sees the problem, says it is very common and he is out of that part (it happens so often), so has to order it. He showed us other defects on the chair, said the part was put in backwards by the manufacturer! What a crappy company, although sales guy was good, he was appalled by what happened, thought we could get a refund, but rude manager overruled him!! Never buy a thing from this compny! I was taken back with surprise by his friendly demeanor, and his willingness to help. This was the case with all the people working at the store. Zac took the lead in talking me through the issues I had with what was an 8 year old sofa. With his help, I was able to take care of my issues and get my sofa that looks like new, taken care of. I still get complements about how nice it looks and feels. It is a first class product. Was told we would receive it in 4 to 6 weeks. We ordered in early October hoping to have by Christmas. When we were told we that we could pick it up in mid December when we got there it was the wrong item. Laughingly they said oh so sorry we added the wrong number. We will put a rush order on it. Well 2 months plus later we call and ask what is the problem. We were told it had been sitting in their warehouse. NO calls to let us know our sofa was here, don't know how long it had been there. I highly recommend skip lazy boy. Their lack of customer communication and service was horrible. That is absolutely incredible! I waited about 8 months for my $1,850 James electric massaging/heated recliner to be delivered at the end of December 2020. In April 2021, the massage motor started failing and it took until the end of July 2021 to get the motor replaced. December 2021 with the chair a couple weeks short of being a year old, the motor failed again, and again it took several months before an entire new chair back was installed at the beginning of March 2022. At the beginning of May 2022, the left motor stopped working, and in the middle of July the right motor also failed. The chair is now 19 months old and is waiting to get on the schedule for the FOURTH MOTOR in 19 months. $1,850 chair. The massage portion has been broken for 44% of the time I've owned the chair. We've had it for a year so far and no issues. Reasonably comfy. Had to sleep on it once or twice and felt good. Price felt high but if it lasts the test of time for me with 2 kids, I'll except that. My first time owning leather seating and in the summer it's sticky but I was aware of this. Can't blame Laz-E-Boy for that.
