The 1st one died a early death for some reason. I thought I just got a bad printer, but it lasted long enough to get out of the warranty. The 2nd one worked fantastic, till the upgrade. Now it won't recognize the ink I've been using, and until new ink is installed, I can't use any other features. Had to order their ink and as soon as that ink is gone, so is the printer. Really not liking being forced to use a product so a business a show more of a profit. A couple of weeks ago a small plastic bit broke off inside and was delivered with the sheet of paper I had just printed! As it was still in warranty I notified the UK retailer who referred me to Epson UK. I phoned Epson UK and was told that they would replace it and collect the broken one, which they did, BUT what they didn't tell me was that the 6 month old 'pristine' printer would be replaced with a used/refurbished one. The replacement one works ok but was really scruffy and scratched and took a lot of work to clean it up. Under the Sale of Goods Act my contract was with the retailer and it is they that should have replaced it with a new one. It's a bit late now but beware if your Epson breaks under warranty!! I filled out all proper paperwork to get the advertised $200 Epson rebate. I would not have purchased the printer otherwise. My rebate was approved by Epson but I never received it. No one at Epson has been able to resolve this. I keep getting passed from department to department. The Epson Rebate Center tells me the rebate was approved, but somehow got “cancelled” after the order was sent to their pre-paid rebate card center. No one there has been able to help. UPDATE after months of back and forth with Epson, I finally got the problem corrected and got a new rebate issued. I understand that oversights like this can happen - but the amount of work I had to go through to correct his was unfortunate.
